All beauty products, even though they do not have a real expiration date by law, must be used within a certain period once opened. This is known by the English acronym PAO or "period after opening" and is identified by the symbol in the shape of an open jar, inside it will have a number; 9M indicates 9 months, 12M indicates 12 months and 36M indicates 36 months. Once opened, the product must be used within this period, because after this period the quality of the product will deteriorate.

For all our products the PAO is 12 months as indicated on the bottle.

Petrolatum is a substance that is obtained from the petroleum refining process (especially Vaseline and paraffin) and that can be used in cosmetic products.

No petrolatum is used in B.lumen products

The cosmetics regulation (EC Regulation 1223/2009) prohibits the use of Formaldehyde as it is classified as carcinogenic and skin sensitizer. However, there are some substances, identified as "formaldehyde releasers" that can gradually release formaldehyde over time and whose use is permitted, but must be indicated on the label with the phrase "contains formaldehyde".

None of these substances are used in b.lumen products.
